Q: What are your three tips about the interview process?
The best approach is to just be yourself!
Use your past professional AND personal experiences to your advantage.
Bring something to the table that no one else can.
Q: Is the Associates Program limited to seniors graduating from schools in the U.S.?
No! We accept applications from students all over the world!
Q: What is your favorite part of being Ogilvy Associates?
Marissa: I love that being an Associate allows me to explore different roles in the company.
Lucas: I love working on real brands that I grew up with my entire life!
Q: What has been the most challenging part of being an Associate?
Marissa: Transitioning from college to the real world was tough, but becoming friends with other Associates has made it much easier.
Lucas: Preparing my own meals for work.
Q: What is something you wish you would have known during the application/interview process?
Ogilvy doesn’t hire just one “type” of person—Ogilvy loves bringing in diverse viewpoints/experiences.
Q: Can we apply to all 3 programs in the U.S., or do we have to choose one?
You can apply to all offices where the program is held—New York, Chicago, and D.C.
Q: What is the best way to get your resume and cover letter to stand out?
On your resume, don’t exclude experiences that aren’t ad-related—we want to see the depth of your accomplishments. For your essays, be creative, intelligent, and original.

It’s a mixture of past experiences, business needs, and your interests!
Q: How has the Ogilvy Associates Program made an impact on your post-graduate career?
Marissa: It’s allowed me to see different roles in the company to inform where my career will go next.
Lucas: It helped me hone in on a specific specialty.
Q: Is a marketing major necessary to excel in the program?
Nope! Associates have majored in Environmental Science, Psychology, French, Econ, English, History, and many more!
