How would you describe your morning routine? What do you typically do?
I typically come into the office at 8:30AM and make myself a coffee from the 7th floor coffee machines. I usually give myself 15 to 20 minutes to go over my responsibilities for the day before I begin responding to emails.
Commuting in a big city, what is it like and what tips do you have about it?
I grew up in New York City so luckily got a head start on figuring out NYC public transportation – my biggest tip would be to always use google maps, its endlessly helpful!
What is your go-to work outfit?
High-waisted dark jeans, long-sleeve shirt, & belt.
What is something you always have at your desk?
Ogilvy email and phone directory – I somehow can never remember the conference room booking extension no matter how many times I’ve used it.
What is your favorite spot in the office?
My favorite office spot would have to be the roof – sometimes it’s nice to take a break from working at my desk area. Plus the fresh air definitely helps boost productivity.
When you know it is going to be a challenging day at the office, what helps keep you motivated?
Remembering how hard I worked to get into this program and that the skills I’m learning as an associate will provide me with an amazing foundation for a career in advertising.
What kind of projects have you worked on so far in this current rotation?
While I work throughout on projects throughout the Philips business, I largely spend my time on Sleep and Respiratory campaigns.
Lunch break! What do you do for lunch?
I typically bring food from home and eat it in the cafeteria with other associates. If I’m having a particularly busy day I’ll eat my food at my desk while I work.
What do you wish someone had told you day one?
I wish someone had told me how normal it is to make mistakes, especially within the first few months. I often beat myself up about little things I could have done better – after two months here I’ve realized that what is important is how you recover from these mistakes and learn how to avoid them in the future.
How do you break up your work day?
Taking a 30 minute lunch break is a great way to break up the work day!
If you had to pick, what has been your favorite thing about working at Ogilvy?
My favorite thing about working at Ogilvy is being surrounded by so many intelligent and inspiring people. Everyone has a unique perspective to bring to their work, which has allowed me to learn from each person I have encountered.
Hell’s Kitchen – what is a cool local spot/restaurant/shop around the office you have found that you love?
The jolly goat has amazing cappuccinos.
How do you wind down after a long day at work?
By grabbing dinner with family or friends in the area.
When you are not in the office, what do you like to do around NYC?
Even though I grew up in NYC, I’m constantly finding areas of the city I was previously unfamiliar with. I love exploring new restaurants and museums.

Go home to take a nap before my plans for the night.
