How would you describe your morning routine?
I arrive at the office by 9 AM each day. During commuting hours (7 AM - 10 AM or 5 PM - 8 PM), UberPool has a $5 flat rate fee that I use to get to work.
What is your staple work outfit?
My department is definitely more relaxed than other departments. On a normal day, I could wear jeans, flats, and either a blouse or a nice sweater. On days with big meetings, I will opt for a pencil skirt and a blouse to dress things up a bit.
What kind of projects are you working on right now?
Right now, I am working with two brands: Ikea and Nestle. I am helping my managers plan our 2017 campaigns for both brands. Our role is to gather information, insight and direction in order for creatives to begin developing ideas.
Where do you go for lunch?
For lunch, I always go to our cafeteria. There are so many great options – it’s hard to choose! I love the rotating selections of soups that are offered. You can never go wrong at the “Global” food area as well, where each day represents a new country and its local delicacy. My personal favorite has been the German sausages, sauerkraut and potatoes for Oktoberfest.
How do you break up your work day?
We frequently have happy hours, which are a great way to let some steam off in the middle of the week. Also, I always get lunch with the other Associates. It’s a great time to compare our days, catch up on the weekends, make plans and relax.
What is your favorite spot in the office?
My favorite spot in the office is the rooftop deck. While it’s still warm, it’s a great place to grab some mid-day Vitamin D and admire the skyline.
How do you wind down after a long day at work?
After a long day at work, I will usually head to the gym, meditate or do some writing. It’s great to have other creative outlets to focus on outside of everyday work.
When you're not in the office, what do you like to do around NYC?
I just moved to NYC, so I am still getting to know the city. Every weekend, I act like a tourist and choose a new spot in New York to explore. It’s hard to stay away from great restaurants in New York so I’m always eating somewhere new and delicious. Other than that, I will be writing at The Bean café or taking a dance class in the East Village.
