Welcome to our Q&A series where you’ll get a glimpse into each of our associates' days “around the office!" First up - Sydney Sadler from the NASCAR Account Management team:

What’s your morning routine? I am the farthest thing from a morning person, so I actually get into the office early enough to where I can have the first hour of work in silence and slowly adjust to the day. I'm in by 8:15, I get a ton done, and people eventually spill in between 9 and 9:30. As soon as I walk into Ogilvy though, I visit my main dude in the cafeteria at the smoothie booth. He makes the best smoothies. Trust me.

What makes or breaks your day? The amount of candy available in my desk drawer. I am notorious for having quite the sweets stash, but people know about it... so when I reach in for a Twix and they're all gone, it's definitely not my best day.

What do you wish someone had told you day one? The Ogilvy gym fitness evaluation you have to do before joining is actually hard!

What do you love most about the office? The people within it (first and foremost), but I also love the roof!

Tell us more about your rotation: I was placed on the NASCAR team for the first rotation. I don't think anyone knew about my cousin who is a NASCAR driver, but that definitely adds an element of excitement! You would think I knew a thing or two about NASCAR given my family's affiliation, but that wasn't the case.

I appreciated the fact that on my first day, NASCAR for Dummies was sitting on my desk, and I embraced everything that came with being on this account - I read the book, signed up for NASCAR Google alerts, and dove right in.

It is exactly what you would expect. It's unpredictable and exciting, and the brand directly reflects my day-to-day work. The only project that has remained constant (other than normal account management tasks like scheduling, reserving rooms, preparing for meetings, writing recaps, etc.) is my weekly e-newsletter that recaps the weekend race. And because of the timing of my rotation, I could see the strategic development and creative concepting phases of the new season launch campaign take place. The rest of my job is truly a fast-paced whirlwind of interesting, fresh projects and tasks, and I am lucky enough to do this alongside one of the best teams in the building.
